Over 40 years: from a small kitchen to halal meal boxes

Go back more than 40 years ago, to Mahaesak Soi 3, where there was a restaurant well known to everyone in the neighborhood. Many may no longer remember its name — but they still remember “Eed,” the skilled chef behind the kitchen

Eed cooked with care for every detail — from selecting ingredients and preparing the food, to the taste of every single dish.

For customers back then, eating food made by Eed meant more than just a good meal. It was the feeling that…

“This dish was made by Eed herself.”

Then one day… the restaurant had to move

When the Mahaesak area was expropriated for expressway construction, the restaurant that had been so well known on Mahaesak Soi 3 had to close its doors.

But closing the restaurant that day did not mean Eed stopped cooking. Quite the opposite…

It became the beginning of a new chapter

Without a storefront, Eed turned to making meal boxes delivered to companies and shops in the area. From cooking for customers who walked into the restaurant, to cooking at scale, delivered straight to working people every day.

And through that skill and unmistakable taste, the name of Eed gradually spread by word of mouth.

From neighboring companies… to restaurants in Silom

Alongside meal boxes, Eed also cooked Indian food, Thai food, and a special biryani (khao mok) recipe for restaurants — especially the restaurants of Silom and its surroundings.

And there were many more restaurants across Bangkok — ordering especially the special biryani and Indian food, along with the Thai dishes that are Eed's own recipes and craft.

From one cook's small kitchen, it gradually became the kitchen behind many restaurants.

And throughout it all, Eed still did the cooking herself — still selecting ingredients, still preparing the food, still tasting, still standing at the stove just as always.

That story has become EED HALAL

More than 40 years have passed, and Eed is still cooking in the kitchen. Today, EED HALAL still cooks for restaurants, including subcontract food production for restaurants across Bangkok — just as before

At the same time, we bring that 40+ years of kitchen experience forward into EED HALAL — halal meal boxes and catering services for companies, meetings, seminars, trainings, events, parties, and celebrations of every kind.

We started as the kitchen behind restaurants, and we still work behind restaurants today — while now also caring for the food of companies and direct customers.

What changed is the way we serve. What never changed is…

The same chef / the same skill / the same care

The place changed, the format changed — but the cook is still the same

Because for more than 40 years, Eed has not just been "selling food" — she has been passing on the taste, the experience, and the dedication that have lived with her for half a lifetime, to a new generation.
